Being a felt fan, i love this idea for how to use up scrap and small prettied felt.

This is from:  Two girls being crafty

They used a cookie cutter to trace hearts onto felt scraps and then stitched them together using white embroidery floss and a blanket stitch, filling with stuffing to make them nice and plump.

Make 9 hearts then use a blunt needle to string

the hearts onto some leftover yarn.

Button heart decoration

I saw this on Country Living & thought it was a wonderful yet simple token of affection.

20130210-224942  For this decoration you will need…

Silver plated jewellery wire (0.6mm)

Wire cutters

Simply cut a length of jewellery wire about 30cm long. Thread the wire through the buttons and push to one end, leaving about 2cm of wire free at this end. Continue threading and pushing the buttons until you have about 5cm of wire free at the other end. Shape the wire into a heart shape and twist the ends together at the back of the heart. With the longer end of wire, shape into a loop, twist to secure again and trim off the ends. Once complete thread a length of ribbon through the loop.

I’d pick Jane Means ribbons as they are lovely
